But within its depths lurks a shadow, a dangerous lure that promises power at the cost of innocence. When the Tanks Burst
On January 15th, 1919, Boston was struck by a disaster unlike any other. A massive tank filled with syrup burst open in the city's North End, unleashing a wave of sticky sweetness that swept through the streets like a tsunami. The flood, reaching heights 25 feet in some areas, was horrifying. Structures succumbed under the power of the treacherous goo.
The aftermath was grim. Twenty-one people lost their lives, and many more sustained wounds. The flood also caused a great deal of destruction to property, leaving a trail of sweet devastation in its wake.
A Sticky Situation in Sticky Nightmare
This past week/month/summer, Boston has been plagued by a horrible/utterly disgusting/awful sticky nightmare.
